Chief C Boiler Operator

Location: Headquarters Building – Saint Paul, Minnesota
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $43.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Sprung Services is hiring on behalf of a client for a skilled and dependable Chief C Boiler Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of boiler and building systems at a headquarters facility in Saint Paul, MN. This position combines hands-on operational responsibilities with leadership and management duties to support facility operations, maintenance coordination, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of boiler systems, experience working in commercial or industrial facilities, and the ability to lead daily operations while supporting maintenance staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers and related mechanical systems safely and efficiently.
Perform daily inspections of boilers, pumps, HVAC systems, water treatment systems, and associated equipment.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company safety regulations.
Maintain accurate operating logs, maintenance records, and inspection documentation.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
Provide leadership and direction for building operations and maintenance activities.
Assist in managing outside vendors and contractors performing facility work.
Support emergency response procedures related to facility systems and equipment.
Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and operational reliability.
Communicate effectively with management, maintenance personnel, and building occupants.

Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota Chief C Boiler Operator License required.
Experience operating commercial or industrial boiler systems.
Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and building automation systems preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety procedures.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift equipment and work in mechanical spaces as needed.
