Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 223 rotations
Pay: $34.00/hr starting + $2.00/hr base pay
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator with a current MN First Class B Boiler License. This position involves assisting in the maintenance and operation of boilers, as well as supporting various utility systems, including chiller systems, air compressors, cooling towers, wastewater treatment systems, and water softeners.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the facility’s boiler systems in compliance with state regulations, including standing watch in a 24/7 environment (fixed or rotating schedule).
Conduct regular inspections of the mechanical and air handling rooms, performing rounds every two hours to identify any issues.
Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on utilities and related equipment.
Ensure efficient and reliable operation of utility systems and equipment.
Assist in developing departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain equipment history files to support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Adhere to all Health and Safety programs and Quality Assurance System guidelines.
Provide on-call emergency coverage during off-hours as needed.
Perform scheduled, corrective, and emergency maintenance on complex equipment and systems.
Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Position Requirements:
Current State of Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Operator license.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
