Chief Boiler Operator position for a MN Chief A Boiler Operator for a central heating facility.

The primary schedule consists of Monday through Friday daytime hours, with paid holidays.  Emergency and special conditions may involve weekends, holidays and unscheduled hours.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages day to day operations of Steam Heating Plant.
• Schedules plant maintenance/outages, including plant walkdowns.
• Responsible for plant procurement and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for approving employee timecards, along with allocating their schedules.
• Assist with the annual Business and Financial Planning efforts.
• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the steam plants.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Background

• High school graduate or equivalent as a minimum.  Bachelor’s or higher baccalaureate degree preferable.
• Five years of work in a large, high pressure steam heating plant or in high pressure boiler operation.  Supervisory experience preferred.

Required Certification / Licenses / Training

• Chief Engineer Grade A stationary engineer’s license, State of Minnesota.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
