This position is for an experienced maintenance mechanic (2+ years in industrial maintenance experience) for a commercial laundry operation. They will perform a broad range of maintenance work in conjunction with engineers. Duties include diagnosis, repair, rebuilding of industrial equipment. Equipment systems need regular maintenance include electrical, mechanical, air, and hydraulic.


  • Follow opening and closing producers of the facility
  • Maintain producers logs and work orders on a prompt timing.
  • Perform the following mechanical and electronic work.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems.
  • Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
  • Troubleshoot, operate, maintain and/ or repair electrical and wiring systems to include but limited to, program or repair automatic machinery and equipment such as programming controllers, transformers, printed circuit boards, wiring, electrical and electronical components of machinery equipment and facilities.
  • Effectively use welder and cutting torch to cut or join metal materials.
  • Develop and maintain a plan to accomplish strict deadlines on defective machines and equipment.
  • Lay out assemblies, install and maintain pipe systems, pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.  
  • Install, align, tension, and maintain chain and sprocket drives, gear drives, belt drivers, flexible couplings, pillow block bearings, shaft assemblies, brake assemblies and pulleys.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment, replace defective parts, motors and adjust fed mechanism following specification and blueprints, using measuring equipment and tools.
  • Implement and perform preventative maintenance to prevent malfunctions and prolong life of equipment, systems, and structures.
  • Conducting routine inspections, reviewing work orders to determine service required on equipment and boilers.
  • Changing fluids, replacing belts, conducting safety inspections of equipment systems and components.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, grease gun and other appropriate tools and / or equipment.
  • Promptly answer service request by staff and facility employees
  • Must be able to work safety and have clear understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements
  • Use personal protective equipment when required and / or necessary.
  • Observe surroundings and practice safety guidelines
  • Operate on machines and equipment correctly and safely
  • Safely operate a forklift / manlift and always wear proper safety equipment’s/ harness.
  • Use the proper tools for the job and comply with company practices
  • Know the proper reporting of an accident or emergency.
  • Know and explain hazards associated with specific types of equipment and tools.


  • Ability to read, write and understand English to read machinery controls, load types, temperatures, time
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and regulations
  • Knowledge and working experience with HLAC, HAZMAT, SDS, EPA requirements and regulations 
  • Ability of reading, interpret and analyze mechanical and electrical schematics, block diagrams, flow charts, and blue charts
  • Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics including ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Successfully operate preventive maintenance when scheduled on all equipment but not limited to on site boiler
  • Basic knowledge of trouble shooting electrical
  • Computer literate with understand of PLC principles
  • Must possess personal hand tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; stoop, bend and walk for long periods of time. Also required to pull, push, lift a minimum of 20-30 pounds throughout the day.
