Description:

Summary:  One of our long-standing industrial manufacturing company clients is searching for a project-focused, lean manufacturing oriented, engineering educated Maintenance Manager! 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Effectively manage 7 maintenance technicians across three shifts, including planning schedules, time off, and performance reviews.
  • Successfully manage a $1.5M+ budget. 
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and complete large capital projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Work closely with production leaders in product production, maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, scheduling deadlines, preventative maintenance, and applying maintenance methods and standards. 
  • Manage daily corrective maintenance schedules, work orders, preventative and predictive maintenance, and implementing new maintenance programs.
  • Ability to successfully manage a range of mechanicaol, electrical, logic/drives, and automation equipment. 

Education/Experience Requirements 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or similar technical experience). 
  • Five or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (corrugated industry preferred), with proven skills in electrical, PLC, and computer controlled equipment that will be supporting new large capital projects.
  • Three or more years of team-oriented maintenance leadership experience involving staff across multiple shifts and demonstrated accountability in driving high performance teams.
  • Seasoned project manager with the ability to keep projects moving forward to successful completion in a timely manner.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes.  Candidates with familiarity in 5S, Lean Six Sigma, ISO9001, and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be given stronger consideration.
  • Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methodology. 
  • Demonstrated project management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify root causes of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as maintenance and inventory control systems in an enterprise system.
  • Boiler Maintenance Certification will be considered a plus.
