The primary job requirements of the Maintenance Technician are to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, boilers, motors, drives, and electrical systems.  

Work Schedule 

3-2 over a 2-week cycle / day shift is 6am-6pm; night shift is 6pm-6am. 

A typical schedule looks like this:

Week 1 = Mon & Tues - ON, Wed & Thurs - OFF, Fri, Sat & Sun ON

Week 2 = Mon & Tues - OFF, Wed & Thurs - ON, Fri, Sat & Sun OFF

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to include cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Rebuild and maintain a wide range of equipment including, but not limited to motors, pumps, agitators, piping, valves, and process equipment.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinders and drills to repair or fabricate machine parts and fixtures and tools.
  • Operates welding equipment.
  • Monitor the high-pressure boiler for safe and efficient operation of manufacturing process.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Reads schematics and diagrams to accurately troubleshoot electrical, wiring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems. 
  • Documents activities in an organized and accurate manner for effective communication with teammates and other employee owners. (Including Work Orders, PM records, Order Requisitions, Inventory Lists, Parts Requisitions, etc.)
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of the facility.
  • Maintains a clean work environment to comply with all GMP and housekeeping policies.
  • Assures that work assignments are carried out in accordance with all safety and quality programs, procedures and policies and are completed in a manner consistent in the food industry.
  • Understands and complies with all company, city, state, and federal requirements to safely maintain facility grounds.
  • Other duties as requested.



  • Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • A 2nd Class B Boiler Operator’s license is highly preferred, but not required. (QIC will expect applicants to sit for the Boiler License test within their first year of employment and will provide support for the training and costs to acquire.)
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • An Associate’s degree in an applicable field is a plus.
